GRANDMOTHER - GRANDSON

PATERNAL LINE

EXAMPLE: by autosomal markers

#1 OPTION.

To reliably establish the grandmother-grandson relationship, you need a sample of the grandmother and the father (mandatory).

EXAMPLE: Grandmother + son + grandson
PRICE: 92 700 tenge (3 samples)

#2 OPTION.

If the father is not alive or it is not possible to provide his sample, it is possible to establish a relationship with the grandchild by autosomal markers of the grandmother, grandfather, and mother.

OBJECTIVES: Grandfather + Grandmother + Mother + Grandson
COST: 123 600 tenge

#3 OPTION.

Provided the biological father is the son of the alleged grandmother, paternity can be determined between the son and the grandchild.

 OBJECTIVES: Dad + Son
COST: 61 800 tenge

MATERNAL LINE

STUDY: by mitochondrial dna

#1 OPTION. Mitochondrial DNA is passed on from the mother to all children, so the grandchild (on the mother's side) will have the same DNA as the grandmother.

 OBSERVATIONS: grandmother + grandson
COST: 61 800 tenge

GRANDMOTHER - GRANDDAUGHTER

PATERNAL LINE

EXAMPLE: on the X chromosome

#1 OPTION.

one of my grandmother's two X chromosomes was passed on through my father to my granddaughter.

 OBJECTIVES: Grandmother + Granddaughter
COST: 61 800 tenge

#2 OPTION.

To be more reliable, you also need a sample of mom

OBJECTIVES: Grandmother + Granddaughter + Mother
PRICE: 92 700 tenge

GRANDFATHER - GRANDSON

PATERNAL LINE

EXAMPLE: on the Y chromosome

#1 OPTION.

The Y chromosome is passed down through the paternal line from the grandfather to the grandson.

 OBJECTIVES: Grandfather + Grandson
COST: 61 800 tenge

MATERNAL LINE

EXAMPLE: on the X chromosome

#1 OPTION.

one of the X chromosomes of the grandmother or grandfather was passed on to the grandchild. The grandmother's sample is needed for control.

OBJECTIVES: Grandfather + Grandmother + Grandson

FATHER and MATERINSHIP

Profile by 24 autosomal markers

  1. Father + child. (+ additional children)
  2. Mother + child. (+ additional children)
  3. Father+mother+child. (+ additional children)

(+ mother) why do we need the mother for the paternity test to be more reliable?

The child inherits 50% of the genetic material from the mother and 50% from the father. Therefore, a mother's sample is also needed to complete the paternity test. This avoids false positives when the genetic material of the mother and father is similar.

Y chromosome - 27 loci. In the male line.
  1. Father + son ( additional clarifying test, for doubtful tests)
  2. Brother + brother with a common father
  3. Brother + brother cousins, third cousins on the paternal line
